Cuckoo is built so that your newspaper is made on your device. This summary describes what the app does with your information.

No account, no ads, no tracking

Cuckoo works without a Cuckoo account or subscription. The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking. We do not sell personal information.

Your sources are read by your device

When you connect Gmail or GitHub, or on the Mac choose Apple Mail accounts or folders, the app reads them directly from your device. Access tokens and your model API key are stored in the system keychain on that device.

Your model provider writes the edition

To write an edition, translate it or answer a question about a story, the app sends the material involved directly from your device to the model provider you connected , using your own API key. Cuckoo's servers are not involved. The provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.

Where editions are kept

Editions, notes and your story feedback are stored on this device, or in your own iCloud if you choose iCloud Drive as the storage location. You can delete them in Settings.

Software updates

The Mac website edition checks cuckoo.day for new versions and lets you turn automatic checks off. GitHub Pages, our website host, receives standard connection information such as your IP address and the app's request headers. Update checks do not send your reports, source content, API keys or account identifiers. Installation requires your confirmation.

Images

When a story includes an image from the web, the app downloads it directly from that address without cookies.

无需账号，没有广告，不做跟踪

不注册晨昏报账号、不订阅即可使用。App 中没有广告，也不包含统计或跟踪代码。我们不出售个人信息。

来源由你的设备读取

你连接 Gmail 或 GitHub，或在 Mac 上选择 Apple 邮件账户和文件夹后，App 由你的设备直接读取这些内容。访问凭据和你的模型 API 密钥保存在该设备的系统钥匙串中。

报纸由你连接的模型服务商撰写

生成报纸、翻译报纸或回答你对某篇报道的提问时，App 会用你自己的 API 密钥，把相关材料从你的设备直接发送给你连接的模型服务商，不经过晨昏报的服务器。这部分处理适用服务商自己的条款与隐私政策。

报纸保存在哪里

报纸、批注和你对报道的反馈保存在本机；如果你把存储位置选为 iCloud Drive，则保存在你自己的 iCloud 中。你可以在设置中删除这些内容。

软件更新

从官网下载的 Mac 版本会向 cuckoo.day 检查新版本，你可以关闭自动检查。网站托管服务 GitHub Pages 会收到 IP 地址及应用请求头等常规连接信息。更新检查不发送报纸、来源内容、API 密钥或账号标识；安装需要你的确认。

报道中包含网络图片时，App 直接从该地址下载，不携带 Cookie。
